about
Our first (and so far only) attempt at a Christmas Song. Recorded in 1993 on a Fostex 160 4 track cassette recorder. Inspired by the loneliness that Christmas can sometimes bring especially when loved ones are not around.
lyrics
I won't be home for Christmas
Time won't show me the way
But keep my presence warm inside
'Cause I'll be home someday
You know my dreams they led me here
So far away from you
But you just always need to know
That my heart belongs to you
So look for me on that sleigh ride
Find the child with the smile on his face
I'll send you a card this Christmas
It will do it's best to replace
Everything that Christmas means to me
I still see reflection
Through a child's eyes
Takes us all to a place
Where Christmas never dies
And when the chill of the night arrives
And you tuck yourself in at night
Pull an angel's tear from above
That will bless you with holy light
And look for me on that sleigh ride
And save me a warm embrace
And I'll send you my love this Christmas
It will do it's best to replace
Everything that Christmas means to me
